Privacy Policy

Last updated

In short: the tools run in your browser, the files you add are never uploaded, and the site may show adverts provided by Google.

Who runs this site

MakeOGImage.com is run by Oleksiy Onyshchenko in the United Kingdom, the data controller under UK data protection law. Contact: hello@makeogimage.com.

Your designs and files

Text, logos, photos, CSV and sitemap files you use are processed on your own device and never sent to or stored on our servers.

Third-party services

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver it and prevent abuse. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and only shows us visit totals. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • jsDelivr serves the font files used in images and receives your IP address when they load. See jsDelivr’s privacy policy.
  • Our fetching service retrieves pages you enter in the OG checker or as a sitemap URL. Results are cached for up to about an hour. Please don’t enter private links, such as those containing passwords or access tokens.

Advertising and cookies

The site itself sets no cookies. It may display adverts from Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads and, where you allow it, personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites.

Visitors in the UK and EEA are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time via the privacy settings link on the site. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads. Learn more or manage your preferences:

Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us.

Under the UK GDPR, we process technical data on the basis of legitimate interests (running a secure, working site) and use advertising cookies on the basis of your consent where required. We don’t store your designs. Checker results are kept for up to an hour, emails only as long as needed to reply, and hosting, analytics and advertising data under Cloudflare’s and Google’s own policies.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing hello@makeogimage.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children and changes

The site is not aimed at children under 13. Any changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date.
