About MakeOGImage.com

MakeOGImage.com is a free tool for making Open Graph images: the pictures that appear when a link is shared on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Slack, Discord or WhatsApp.

A good share image makes a link stand out. Making one shouldn’t mean opening a design app, starting a trial or paying per image, so this site does one job, quickly and for free.

What you can do

  • Design an image in the editor, from a colour, gradient, your own photo or a template.
  • Preview it as X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Slack and Discord will show it.
  • Create images for a whole site with batch images, from a list, CSV file or sitemap.
  • Check any link with the OG checker and copy ready-to-paste meta tags.
  • Preview search results with the meta tag checker to see how a page will look on Google and Bing.

How it works

Everything runs in your browser. Your text, logos and photos are never uploaded, and there’s no account to create. Images are rendered by Satori, the site is built with Astro, React and Tailwind CSS, and fonts are open-source typefaces served by Fontsource.

Principles

  1. Free. No sign-up, no watermark, no download limits.
  2. Private. Files you add stay on your device.
  3. Fast. Loads quickly and works on a phone.

Who’s behind it

MakeOGImage.com is built by Oleksiy Onyshchenko, a UK developer who makes free, focused web tools, including Free Random Tools and Placeholder Text. Ideas and bug reports are always welcome: get in touch.
